In re RealPage, Inc., Rental Software Antitrust Litigation (No. II)
Plaintiffs allege that RealPage and numerous property management companies conspired to fix and inflate multifamily rental housing prices across the United States by using RealPage's revenue management software. Settling Defendants deny all wrongdoing. The proposed settlements establish a $359,925,000 fund and require Settling Defendants to change certain business practices.
HK Multistate Immobilizer Settlement
This class action settlement involves Hyundai and Kia vehicles that were manufactured without an engine immobilizer. Consumers who purchased or leased certain affected vehicles may be eligible to benefit from the settlement.
CertainTeed Shingle Settlement
This class action lawsuit alleged that Organic Roofing Shingles manufactured by CertainTeed Corporation from July 1, 1987 through 2005 were defective and failed to perform as promised when installed on buildings in the United States and Canada. The settlement provides cash payments to qualifying property owners where the organic shingles show premature deterioration likely caused by a product defect. The court approved the settlement on September 1, 2010, and CertainTeed is actively processing and paying claims.

CFPB v. Tempoe, LLC
The CFPB took action against Tempoe, LLC, a finance company that provided consumer leases through retail partners, for engaging in unfair acts and practices in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010. A consent order issued on September 11, 2023 imposed a permanent ban on consumer leasing and a $2 million civil penalty. Over $192 million from the CFPB victims relief fund was allocated to compensate eligible consumers.
CSAC, INC. v. SADE M. CRAWFORD
This class action settlement involves CSAC, Inc., a lender that allegedly failed to send proper notices to borrowers in connection with loan collection, repossession, and sale of collateral. The lawsuit claims that CSAC did not comply with required presale or post-sale notice obligations. The settlement provides monetary relief, debt deficiency write-offs, and deletion of certain negative credit report entries.
Jenna Granados v. OnPoint Community Credit Union
This settlement resolves claims that OnPoint Community Credit Union improperly denied disputes asserting fraudulent transactions on customer accounts between June 3, 2020 and December 31, 2021. The parties have reached a proposed $500,000 settlement fund.

This class action lawsuit alleges that Bank of America, N.A. failed to send borrowers proper notice of their rights after vehicle repossession and sale. The settlement provides a $3,250,000 gross fund to be distributed to class members and requires BANA to request credit reporting agencies to delete class members' auto loan history from their credit reports. BANA denies all claims but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and risks of continued litigation.
Nicholas Financial, Inc. v. Jeremiah T. Gross
This class action lawsuit concerns whether Nicholas Financial, Inc. sent proper notices to borrowers in connection with collecting loans and repossessing and selling their property. The settlement provides monetary benefits, cancellation of certain debts, and deletion of certain negative credit information from credit reports. The settlement resolves claims without admitting liability on NFI's part.
