In re RealPage, Inc., Rental Software Antitrust Litigation (No. II)
Plaintiffs allege that RealPage and numerous property management companies conspired to fix and inflate multifamily rental housing prices across the United States by using RealPage's revenue management software. Settling Defendants deny all wrongdoing. The proposed settlements establish a $359,925,000 fund and require Settling Defendants to change certain business practices.
CFPB v. Tempoe, LLC
The CFPB took action against Tempoe, LLC, a finance company that provided consumer leases through retail partners, for engaging in unfair acts and practices in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010. A consent order issued on September 11, 2023 imposed a permanent ban on consumer leasing and a $2 million civil penalty. Over $192 million from the CFPB victims relief fund was allocated to compensate eligible consumers.
Jenna Granados v. OnPoint Community Credit Union
This settlement resolves claims that OnPoint Community Credit Union improperly denied disputes asserting fraudulent transactions on customer accounts between June 3, 2020 and December 31, 2021. The parties have reached a proposed $500,000 settlement fund.
